Ford QVM
We are a Ford QVM (Qualified Vehicle Modifier) for their alternative fuel program, as a developer and installer. Click here to visit Ford's official QVM list. Using a Altech-Eco CNG Powered Conversion System insures the original Ford Engine and Powertrain Limited Warranty remains intact.
We are responsible for the CNG engine calibrations, all on-dynamometer calibration testing, meet all Ford engineering requirements and development of a vehicle component package. All CNG calibrations are created in collaboration with a Ford approved QCM (Qualified Calibration Modifier). This means AEC is utilizing Ford authorized calibration software to flash the ECU (Engine Control Unit) with our certified calibrations and not illegally performing unauthorized flashes of the original vehicle calibration. The alternative fuel engine controller we use with our CNG conversion systems is a Ford developed and tested product.
Ford is offering a suite of vehicles with the CNG prepped engine package. These engines come with hardened exhaust valves and valve seats for improved wear resistance and durability for gaseous fuel systems.
